About This Event

This comprehensive one-day course is specifically designed for theatre professionals who want to develop the skills and confidence to support colleagues experiencing mental health challenges.

The theatre industry presents unique pressures and challenges that can impact mental wellbeing. From the uncertainty of freelance work to the emotional demands of performance, theatre professionals face distinct stressors that require specialized understanding and support.

During this intensive training day, participants will learn to recognize the signs of mental health issues, provide initial support, and guide colleagues toward appropriate professional help. The course covers anxiety, depression, psychosis, and substance use disorders, with particular focus on how these conditions manifest in theatre environments.
